About Kadugannawa Ambalama
This is perhaps the most popular ambalama�s in the country. The historic ambalama in Kadugannawa lies right next to the Colombo � Kandy Road just before the hairpin bend (Kadugannawa Pass) at Kadugannawa. This Ambalama is said to have buildduring the reign of King Sri Wickremerajasinghe and must have been a popular stopover for the merchants traveling on the arduous route between ancient hill capital and the lowlands.
