About Royal Botanic Gardens
Sri Lanka�s oldest formal gardens are indeed the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya. It is situated about 5 km west of the city of Kandy in the Central Province of Sri Lanka, 460 meters above the average sea level. Peradeniya Royal Botanic Gardens receives nearly 2 million annual tourists from both local and international countries.
