Katu Kithul Ella Falls (15m in height) takes its name from the katukithul tree or thorny palmyra (Oncosperma fasciculatum) located at the top. There are many superstitious tales linked to the fall. One is that a vision of a large person clad in white is sometimes seen descending down the flow of water.
